Welcome to Light Hearted Living, where healing meets home.

Hi, I’m Stephanie, the founder of Light Hearted Living—a space created from pain, perseverance, and ultimately, healing.

My journey began in 2016, after a life-altering fall from my horse left me with a broken back. I had fractured the L3 and L4 transverse processes, just a fraction of an inch away from my spinal cord. The doctors told me I was lucky not to be paralyzed—and their only solution was rest and pain medication.

For a while, I listened. But the medications left me feeling dizzy, unbalanced, and disconnected from myself. I could barely walk from the couch to the bathroom without feeling like I might fall over. I knew deep down: this wasn’t the way I was meant to heal.

With my father’s background in physical therapy and yoga, I found the courage to take a different path. Once I could drive again, I started attending local yoga classes and swimming at a nearby gym four times a week. Slowly but surely, my body began to heal.

But I didn’t stop there. I dove into my own research, exploring holistic healing methods that I could use at home. Chiropractic care, acupuncture, essential oils, meditation, deep breathing, self-massage tools, and even a vibration plate to support my lymphatic system—bit by bit, these tools helped me feel like myself again.

Through this deeply personal experience, I realized that healing isn't just about the body—it's about the mind, body, and spirit working together. And most importantly, that true healing can happen right at home.

That’s why I created Light Hearted Living—to share what I’ve learned and help others tap into their own power to heal. Whether you're recovering from injury, dealing with chronic stress, or simply seeking a more balanced lifestyle, my hope is to provide tools, inspiration, and support for your journey toward whole-body wellness.
